The voice of patients

It is very valuable when patients give us the opportunity to hear from them directly about their experience.

This can lead to changes in the way health services are delivered - giving power to the voice of the patient and helping to improve health outcomes for local people.

A Luton woman told us how being able to talk to a paramedic who is a member of the clinical team at her GP practice helped her. He was able to recognise that she needed mental health support. The help this patient received made a huge difference to her.

It's part of ongoing work in Luton to think creatively about primary care, so that practices can work together more effectively.
