Taking care of a child's health is a great responsibility, and sometimes it can be difficult to know what to do or where to go for the best.

Please remember that, if you think you need medical help but are not sure where to go or who to ask, you can call 111 free of charge, any time of the day or night.  Your call will be answered by a trained operative who has access to clinical staff (doctors and nurses) and will advise you on what to do for the best. You can also check the NHS Choices website for advice.

To help you, Luton's children's services team have put together some leaflets with help and advice about some of the most common childhood ailments.  You can download and/or read them from this page.  If you would like further advice and/or if the situation that worries you persists or gets worse, please call 111 or ring your GP (family doctor).
