Medina Medical Centre

28 September 2018

Following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Medina Medical Centre temporarily closed on the afternoon of 27 September and reopened on the morning of Friday 28 September under the new interim caretaker provider, Lea Vale Medical Group.

The CQC took this decision because of concerns about system issues, Governance, and safety.

The new provider will continue to operate from Medina Medical Centre from 28 September for an initial  period of four months.

Patients who had appointments booked during the period of temporary closure were notified and alternative arrangements were made.

All households registered with Medina Medical Centre will receive a letter to explain that they are being automatically transferred over to the new provider of primary care services.

We would encourage any patients who have concerns or questions to read our FrequentlyAsked Questions here: http://www.medinamedicalcentre.co.uk/
